Our name is Mary Ann & Donald Berry we are family owners/instructor of Arkansas Pet Grooming School Training Academy.
In 2006, we developed the Arkansas Pet Grooming School professional groomer training programs to provide more flexible and affordable groomer education, through distance learning.
In 2007, Arkansas Pet Grooming School Training Academy had become a private career training institute of professional pet grooming.
For fifteen years we owned and operated Ultimutt Salon, where dogs and cats visited yearly for the services provided. These services included pet sitting certificate, grooming certificate or diploma, training, small doggie daycare certificate, retail pet shop, boarding certificate, pet massage certificate, business management certificate and Red Cross certification CPR and pet first aid. During that time I developed and instructed comprehensive programs in professional dog and cat grooming.
In 1995, I returned back to college at USA Jonesboro Arkansas and received a BSE degree in Education, but continued to offer professional grooming services, in conjunction with pet showing and breeding until a few years ago.
As student enrollment grew, (in part due to the internet), I opted to retire from active teaching. This "retirement" is pretty busy at times, but it has enabled me to meet my own personal commitment to be one hundred per cent available to my students and grads. We are only an e-mail or phone call away.
As the recipient of diplomas in education, professional pet grooming, breeding, showing, animal sciences, animal nutrition and certified kennel operation, training, vet assistant several of which are cum laude, my adult life has pretty much been devoted to pets and their care.
